Mrs Stewart and Mrs Sanderson

Welcome to the Nursery class page. All the information you will need is here.

Picture Books will be sent home on a Monday and a Friday. Please share these stories with your child each evening.   Get cosy, switch off the TV, talk about the pictures with your child, read the stories and encourage your child to join in with parts of the story they remember.  It really is a special moment in the day.

RWI Phonics lessons begin after February half term.  Individual reading homework will be set on Google Classrooms.  These will focus first on recognising the pictures and then reading the letter sounds.

Outdoor Learning happens every day whatever the weather.  Please ensure your child has a warm waterproof coat with them every day.  Wellies are provided by school.

Please make sure your child has their name label in their coat, jumper or cardigan, school book bag, water bottle and school shoes.  Children of Nursery age are often unsure about which belongings are theirs.  Please help us to return your lost items by regularly checking name labels are legible.

Nursery expectations:

Can use the toilet and wash hands with minimal adult help

Can put on and take off own coat and shoes

Can ask for help when needed
